  • Scaly, slightly hairy tail

Behavior

  • Males are territorial and display aggressive behavior

  • Produce underground chambers that they dwell in
  • Norway rats can be found in cities, suburbs and wooded areas

  • Omnivorous preferring food containing protein

Life Cycle

  • One litter can contain up to 10 offspring
  • Females can produce up to 6 litters a year
  • Lifespan is up to 1 year
